Position: Driver for Need-Based Students
Location: Eastpointe Community Schools
Hours: Part-Time (24-30 hours per week)
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Hours: Mon. - Fri. 6am - 9am, 2:30pm - 5pm

Responsibilities:
- Safely transport homeless and need-based students to and from school.
- Additional transportation of student athletes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the van.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van interior.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and other stakeholders.
- Enforce all passenger rules and regulations to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or concerns promptly and according to established protocols.
- Moderate physical activities such as
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds] occasionally.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary.
Requirements:
- Valid chauffeur's license.
- Successful completion of drug and alcohol testing.
- Clear physical examination results.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Clean driving record verified through a driving record check.
- Criminal Record Background Check
- Completion of safe schools training or willingness to undergo training.
- Ability to understand and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with students facing challenges.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to professionalism.
