Job Title: Summer Discovery Program Paraprofessionals
9 Paraprofessionals to support all Summer Programs
Position Description: Under the direction of the Athletics and Activities Director and Summer Discovery Teacher Leader paraprofessionals will deliver intervention instruction, support for families, and materials for students and families to participate in a remote summer program.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree, passed WorkKeys, or a minimum of 60 hours from an approved college. B.A. or B.S. preferred
- Organized, and flexible to work with varied schedules and individual needs ? Preference given to those with proven experience effectively working with students to encourage and aid them in overcoming their academic deficiencies ? Experience with technology and utilizing basic applications. Must be able to run zoom meetings and support learning directed by teachers.
- Excellent reading, writing and communication skills
Our Summer Discovery Program Paraprofessional will skillfully demonstrate:
? Strong desire and ability to achieve outstanding student achievement results in a short amount of time
- Ability to build meaningful, caring relationships with students in order to exert academic press and influence
- Ability to motivate students and influence their behaviors
- Development of organized routines, communicate clear expectations, and grow a positive school culture

Program Dates:
July 8 - August 8
Salary Data: $20.00 Per Hour M-F
7:30 to 4:00 with additional PD on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Training will take place on July 1, 2, 3, and 5.
*Staff will be required to attend professional learning sessions as well as planning meetings! Paraprofessionals must be willing to report for preparation of materials, delivery of materials and support for families.
Grant funded program services supplement and support but do not supplant or replace the general education program of the school district.
