Job Title: Cafeteria Worker
Schools: Eastpointe Community Schools, location undetermined
Does Cafeteria success happen because of you? Do you enjoy feeding hungry students?
Do you defy the myth of the rote and mechanical cafeteria worker?
Do you want to be appreciated for your organization, enthusiasm, and work ethic? Do you want to be an active part of a dynamic team?
Who we are: Eastpointe Community Schools is in the business of transforming lives. Our partnership with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and Statewide Field Team (SWFT) has created a unique opportunity for rapid district turnaround. Part of our continued growth and improvement involves increasing educational expectations, developing a culture of support, and nurturing all students to address academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs of our students. Eastpointe Secondary Campus is a grade 8-12 school (including a Virtual Academy, Alternative Center, 9-12 High School, and 8th Grade Academy) with an enrollment of about 1100 students. Eastpointe Middle School is a grade 6-7 building serving about 400 students. Our upper elementary schools serve students in grades 3-5, and our lower elementary schools serve our K-2 students. Our Early Learning Center welcomes our Pre K students. In our schools, look for fully functioning kitchens and cafeterias preparing and serving high quality, fresh, nutritious meals to all students in every school. Look for efficient and pleasant kitchens where staff work together to deliver an inviting food experience for all our kids, regardless of age. Enjoy a collaborative work experience with your team, and with students and staff.
What we offer: While all schools face challenges, at Eastpointe we all roll up our sleeves and work together to get things done. Our district appreciates talents and skills that others may have missed and embraces leaders willing to challenge the status quo. As a Cafeteria Worker in our district, you will work with many principals in various buildings and their cafeteria staff every day and become part of the district team. You will find tremendous opportunities for professional learning in Eastpointe, as continuous growth is an expectation for all employees. We pride ourselves on creating a culture of continuous improvement with staff who feel this work is a calling, and where every interaction with students counts. YOUR DREAM-OUR TEAM!
